I have been a school superintendent and starting July 1, 2023, I will be the new Chief Executive Officer for the California Association for Bilingual Education. Previously served Williams USD where we were implementing the Daggett System for Effective Instruction Framework district-wide to increase Rigor & Relevance in student learning and preparing our students with 21st Century skills to be college and career ready as one of the first Comprehensive School Early College High Schools, providing dual enrollment credit for high school and college and implementing a Dual Language Immersion+ (Spanish/English +Mandarin-Chinese) strand that led to a "Translator/Interpreter in Education" Pathway. Williams USD is a district with 1,400 students. CABE is a California statewide non-profit organization with 57 employees providing various contracted services to school districts around parent engagement, literacy, Dual Immersion implementation support, and multicultural educational programs. CABE promotes multilingualism, building multicultural competence, and advocating for equity in education for ALL students, particularly English Learners (Emergent Bilingual Learners).

Williams Jr./Sr. High (grades 7-12): 1) Three years of 100% Graduation. 2.) Going from offering 20 AP course seats to 287 AP course seats in three years. 3) Going from 18% A-G College Acceptance rate to 44% A-G College Acceptance rate in four years.
