Paul Solarz taught fifth grade at Westgate School in Arlington Heights for 20 years. In 2014, Paul published a book entitled, "Learn Like a PIRATE," which helps teachers empower their students to collaborate effectively and develop strong leadership skills. He was a 2015 Top 50 Finalist for the Varkey GEMS Global Teacher Prize and was named the 2014 ICE Educator of the Year.
